Annie's Quilting Den is a quilting store that offers a wide selection of modern, contemporary fabrics, individually selected to provide an exceptional pallet of textures and colors.  We provide a regular series of classes to help beginners get started and intermediate quilters build new skills.  We also offer specialty classes for more experienced artists; and many classes, just for fun.  If you run into problems with a quilt, just stop by and we will provided one-on-one mentoring that you need to move on and complete your quilt.  We can also show you tools and machine ideas that will save you time.


Pineapple Quilt

Use strips from your stash to make this stunning Pineapple Quilt.

Use strips from your stash to make a stunning pineapple quilt. The blocks are in six color groups (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). The quilt will not be finished in class. You will finish enough blocks to complete the quilt at home.

In addition to the pineapple blocks, you will learn how to make square in a square and flying geese blocks.  THis class is tailored to the skills of a confident beginner.



Quilt Materials

Assorted fabrics cut in 1 1/2-inch and 2 1/2-inch strips. Keep the fabric sorted by color. Have a minimum of four colors per color group. If your stash is low, bring in fat quarters or quarter yard cuts. 2 1/2 yards fabric for background, borders, and binding.


  • Marti Michell 1-inch Pineapple Set (required or rented from shop)
  • Marti Michell Template Set B (required or rented from shop)
  • Machine in good working order
  • 1/4-inch piecing foot
  • Rotary cutter
  • Mat
  • 6 1/2-inch ruler

Cutting and other instructions

  • Finished quilt is 42”x 42”. It can be made larger by adding more pineapple blocks.
