Row by Row 2015

This is a popular shop hop type event that spans all 50 states.  It runs from June 21 to September 8.

Brighten your summer!

It's fun and easy to participate! Simply visit any participating quilt shop during the summer and ask for their free pattern for a row in a quilt. The 2015 theme is Row by Row H20, and Annie's has created a unique water themed row for you. Annie's and all of the participating shops are happy to give you the pattern at no cost.  While this event is similar to our local quilt run, it is different in several ways.  There are no passports and no fees but there are hundreds of participating shops all across the continent.

The shops are only offering the pattern to customers who walk in the door. Please don't ask them to email or mail their row patterns.  Also remember that these patterns are the copyright property of the designers.

Prizes.

With the Row by Row Experience you can easily win a prize for sewing a project! Just complete a quilt using at least 8 different rows from 8 different 2015 participating shops. Be the first to bring it into a shop and you win a stash of 25 fat quarters. (That's 6-1/4 yards of fabric!) Win a bonus prize for using that store's row in your quilt.  It is complete when it is quilted, bound, labeled.

The purpose of the event is to help you get your creative ideas flowing by giving you unique building blocks.  But we don't give you a pattern for a complete quilt.  You decide what your quilt looks like. Since every shop creates a unique and different pattern, you can stack your rows, arrange around a center medallion, make them horizontal, vertical, upside down, on the front, on the back, whatever! You are the designer. Be creative and have fun, but be sure to use 8 different 2015 rows from 8 different 2015 shops.

Participating Shops

You can "like" your area's page and any shop you plan to visit, but you don't have to be a member of Facebook to see the photos. The Facebook page links are on the  www.rowbyrowexperience.com website.
