Row by Row Experience - 2018

This is a popular shop hop type event that spans all 50 states and a few shops in Europe.  The event runs from June 21 to September 6.

Brighten your summer!

It's fun and easy to participate! Simply visit any participating quilt shop during the summer and ask for their free pattern for a row in a quilt. The 2018 theme is Sew Musical, and Annie's has created a unique row for you.

Annie’s Quilting Den regularly welcomes visitors from around the world.  San Diego is a wonderful place to live and visit.  Annie’s is located near the Welk Resort, and we used it for inspiration for our Row this year.  We captured the essence of the "Sew Musical" theme by reminiscing about Lawrence Welk's ever popular champagne music style.  He is our very own Champagne Music Man represented by the champagne glass, bubbles and music notes. Laurence Welk loved this part of North County San Diego. He built Champagne Village, an affordable mobile home community in the early 1970's.  It eventually grew into the Welk Resort, a world class resort on Champagne Boulevard (hwy 395).

Our kit gives you the freedom to arrange the silhouettes in any way you wish.

Annie's and all of the participating shops are happy to give you the pattern for our row at no cost.  While this event is similar to our local quilt run, it is different in several ways.

Here is our row for 2018.  Stop by and pick up a pattern and a kit.
Copyright 2018 - Annie's Quilting Den, llc

There are no passports and no fees but there are thousands of participating shops all across the continent. Annie's and all participating shops offer their entirely unique patterns to customers who walk in the door. Please don't ask them to email or mail their row patterns.  Also remember that these patterns are the copyright property of the designers.

With the Row by Row Experience you can easily win a prize for sewing a project! Just complete a quilt using rows and blocks from different participating shops. Be the first one to bring your quilt into a participating shop and you will win a stash of 25 fat quarters (that's 6-1/4 yards of fabric!)  Win a bonus prize for using that store's row in your quilt.  Your quilt is considered complete when it is quilted, bound, and labeled.

The purpose of the event is to help you get your creative ideas flowing by giving you unique building blocks.  But we don't give you a pattern for a complete quilt.  You decide what your quilt looks like. Since every shop creates a unique and different pattern, you can stack your rows, creatively incorporate as many different shapes as you like. Remember! You are the designer. Be creative and have fun, but be sure to use 8 different rows or blocks from 8 different shops.
